Welcome to our very first edition of AfCFTA Watch! The AfCFTA Watch is a platform that follows developments on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and periodically reviews emerging issues using an pan-African feminist lens and approach to the analysis.

Each edition of the AfCFTA Watch will look at a specific issue happening within the AfCFTA. In this first edition we look at what is happening with the Protocol on Women and Youth in Trade, which has yet to be finalised but is in development. In each edition, we will also try to keep track of what is happening within different countries in terms of AfCFTA implementation plans.
