Welcome to our August 2024 edition AfCFTA Watch! AfCFTA Watch is a platform that follows developments on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and periodically reviews emerging issues using an pan-African feminist lens and approach to the analysis.
The AfCFTA is a regional free trade agreement that aims to economically liberalise Africa’s internal borders by removing almost all tariffs across goods and services. Its ultimate aim is to bring regional integration to the continent and galvanise industrialisation.
